Project: Butlins Bognor Regis – New Play Experience Building

Major staircase structures installed throughout the facility, enhancing accessibility and flow.

This project involved the installation of substantial steel staircases, along with key architectural features to enhance the play experience building. Wessex Fabrications Ltd was responsible for the seating framework, decorative panels, and dividers in the darts area, delivering high-quality craftsmanship to meet the project’s aesthetic and functional needs.

Material Specifications:

All steelwork uses grade S355 materials.
Hollow sections adhere to BS EN 10210-1 (Hot) and 10219-1 (Cold).
Fitting plates conform to BS EN 10025-2 ~ S355-JR.
Non-preloaded and pre-loaded bolt assemblies meet BS EN 15048-1 and BS EN 14399-1 standards, respectively.
Welding adheres to specified leg lengths and is classified as Execution Class 2.

Finish Details:

Galvanised balustrade and stair carcass.
Black nylon handrail capping.
Contrasting black nosing on stair treads.
